Grade 7-8 Social Studies Resource Unit - Outline for Electronic Magazine


A. What resources does your adopted country have?

B. Classify the resources under headings Renewable or Non-Renewable

C. How do they use these resources? (What do they do with them?)

D. How are the resources distributed throughout the country? Check the examples below:
• Inour country, Saskatchewan has most of the uranium
• Saskatchewan and Alberta have most oil
• Ontario has the most human resources
• The maritime provinces have the most fishery resources

E. Remember that Land is a resource

F. How does your country use its’ resources to interact with other nations? Do the resources in your country help make it more powerful than other countries?

Happy New Year 2009

We have embarked on a huge project which we call PROJECT FAIRY TALE. This project involves learning a fairy tale and storytelling it; making a Power Point Storybook, and creating a movie of the fairy tale.
Our projected audience for the movie will be Kindergarten to Grade 2.
